Appearance: Spider-Man's appearance is fully costumed, from head to toe. His mask, while not having holes punched in it or anything obvious, is made thin enough in that to allow him to breathe easily enough. The mask has big white eye spots for him to see through and not have anyone see through, and the color scheme is a great combination of black, blue, and red. His chest has a small, black spider symbol on it, and his web shooter are hidden underneath his gloves, and extend to almost his elbows.
Peter Parker looks fairly average; he has a fair, but well toned body, and tends to look incredibly healthy. He has short, brown hair and brown eyes, and stands at about 5'10. Parker carries himself with a bit of a slump at times if he's sad or down, or simply trying not to be noticed. His attire usually consists of dress type clothes, though he can go casual when need be.
Personality: Spider-Man is a big time talker. He's always quick with a silly, sarcastic, and often times corny type of comeback. This is used to not only distract himself from the danger he's facing, but to also distract whoever it is he's fighting. Also, it can be a great way make someone mad, especially if they are the type to get angered easily/quickly. Even though he has all of these silly moments, Spidey can also succumb to anger or desperation, especially if a loved one/friend are in danger of being hurt in some way.
He also does his best to defend his city despite being persecuted and hated by some, and has very solid morals.
Peter Parker, though sometimes witty in his own way, tends to be an overall polar opposite of Spider-Man. Despite his nice looks, he is definitely a big brain type, and can be so distracted by either a family event, work, school, or Spider-Man type issue, that he can overlook those that call him friend. This causes him to have very strained relationships with people, and also makes him unreliable since a lot of plans he makes are put on hold so he can go play hero. It also keeps him out of the loop of things, or his friends too, so he can sometimes be snappy when under a pressure of some kind. He keeps a lot to himself due to his secret identity, and can sometimes come across as mysterious.
Still though, he's able to win people over with a quiet charm and does his best to be honest, patient, and kind towards others, and even tries to make plans and promises that he really always does try to keep. It's just most of the time, he has to be Spider-Man.
Abilities/Strengths: Spider-Man can, theoretically, lift/hold up to 15 tons at full strength. His reflexes, balance, and acrobatic maneuvers are something to behold, and combined with his spider-sense ability, he can be quite the hard man to hit. Spider-Man also has a combination that's hard to predict, as it's completely original and made up by him, usually spur of the moment during fights or rescues. He can fit into spaces that others would find difficult or even impossible.
His webbing is stronger than a regular human, and is able to hold them easily for an hour or so until the webbing dissolves. Super-humans themselves can even have trouble breaking the web, and often need the assistance of a sharp object. Of course there are some of his stronger enemies that can break out of it easily, so I would say that the ability to break out of it depends on who's webbed.
Peter Parker can also do these things, but since he has an identity to protect, he doesn't do these things unless he's sure know one is around, or is looking his way.
Weaknesses: Spider-Man is very strong, and very a lot of awesome strong cool things. He's also very mortal, and can be cut, stabbed, shot, and otherwise wounded or killed. Also, certain enemies can get past his spider-sense, though at the point he's being taken from, that list is very short and only goes for symbiote types like Venom and Carnage. Just because he can sense things sometimes doesn't mean he'll notice something about to happen if his mind is thought heavy, or if he's distracted enough by someone/something.
Peter Parker's major weakness is that a lot of the time, he HAS to play like he's not Spider-Man, which can get him hurt often, or bullied and whatnot.
History: Orphaned as a baby when his parents were killed in a plane crash, Peter Parker was taken in/adopted by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben Parker. Academically gifted, Peter displayed a great love for science and was nothing short of genius in the subject. Socially, however, he was painfully shy and the target of much teasing and cruelty by his peers at Midtown High School. Attending a public science exhibit with his classmates, he was bit on the hand by a radioactive spider, empowering Peter with the arachnid's proportional strength and agility, and the ability to cling to almost any surface. He was merely 15 years old when this happened.
Most incredibly though, he had gained an extra, different type of sense (he ended up calling it "spider sense") that provided him with early warning of impending danger. Disguised, Peter tested his new-found abilities by wrestling and defeating pro wrestler Crusher Hogan in the ring, earning himself a bit of money. Using his scientific knowledge, he constructed a pair of metal, artificial web-shooters that attached to his wrists. With an agent and a new costume, Spider-Man became an overnight sensation on television. Not bothered with the rest of the world, he swore to use his powers only to take care of himself and his aunt and uncle. After his first TV show ended, he allowed a burglar that he could have easily restrained to run past him and escape.
A few days later, Peter returned home to find that his beloved Uncle Ben had been shot and killed during an attempted theft in their home. When Spider-Man sought after and confronted the killer hiding in an old warehouse on the waterfront, he discovered to his horror that his uncle's murderer was the burglar he allowed to pass. Consumed with guilt, he became aware at last that with great power comes great responsibility, just as his beloved uncle had once said to him prior to his untimely and horrific death.
Vowing to to protect those that needed it, Spider-Man took to helping the innocent while trying to deal with the grief of losing his uncle. Peter Parker, however, needed to find a way to make money, as his aunt didn't work, and they needed money for bills and such. So Peter found a job as a freelance photograhper for the Daily Bugle, selling his photos of Spider-Man to one J. Jonah Jameson, a man that absolutely hated and loathed Spider-Man. Throughout the next few years, Spider-Man would fight many enemies of all sorts; some friends, some not. For the most part Spider-Man has been able to save the people he has tried to save, the two most noticeable failures being a former love Gwen Stacy (her neck snapped when he caught her with his webbing as she fell off a bridge during a heated fight with the Green Goblin), and her father, Captain Stacy (crushed by rubble from a nearby building).
Despite his failures and what seems to be a very stressful life, Peter has managed to keep a cool enough head, and has learned from various mistakes and events. He's made a long list of enemies, and at this point, has a very short list of friends. He arrives in Template after trying to save a little girl from a burning building. He manages to get her out, but gets caught in the building's flames and timber as he does so....
